These four hours will be dedicated to city sightseeing with a number of photo stops and the Church of Our Savior on the Spilt Blood built on the spot where the Russian Emperor Alexander the Second was assassinated by Russian revolutionary terrorists. The biggest mosaic monument in the world contains 7000 sq. meters of mosaics. The style of traditional Russian onion-domed churches of the 16-17th centuries will leave you struck with amazement, as well as the whole tour full of impressions of splendid surroundings.

This 3.5-hour tour is devoted to one of the biggest and most valuable museums in the world. It’s impossible to see the collections of this vast world-famous museum in one, two or three visits … It’s not possible to stop by every item otherwise it would take you years. But it is a must to get at least first tips. The general tour includes both original gala rooms, and art collections. You will explore artistic treasures passing from building to building. Apart from the Winter palace, the main building of the museum and former official Tsar’s residence you will find yourselves in the Small Hermitage, in the Old Hermitage, in the New Hermitage and even in the functioning Hermitage theatre, former private theatre of Catherine the Great. If you are keen on visiting a place to get overwhelmed with art and pleasure then it’s your cup of tea…

If you want to visit both the Church of Our Savior on the Spilt Blood and Saint-Isaac’s then this tour is a good option for you. Lasting four three hours, this excursion promises to be exciting and informative. Our guide will pick you up from the hotel to accompany to the Saint-Isaac’s, the forth highest cathedral in Europe constructed in the classical style. Then you will see the great mosaic monument (with 7000 sq. meters of mosaics!) built in the style of traditional Russian onion-domed churches of the 16-17th centuries. Both styles will definitely leave you stunned. (Depending on the location of your hotel the churches could be visited in reverse order.)

It will take you four hours to see the Catherine Palace in Pushkin. The historical name of this opulent summer residence is the Tsar’s Village. The first palace built there in the days of Catherine the First was a small modest construction which her daughter Elizabeth converted into the baroque gem. You will see the superb baroque interiors and the famous amber room whose history is so dramatic and thrilling. The inside visit will be followed by a pleasant walk around the parks, another promising point of the tour.

Four hours for you to see another eighteenth-century summer Imperial residence, less official and more homely. One-hour drive will run fast as you will be carried away by so many exciting stories about the palace, the Imperial family and, of course, about what you will see on your way. The palace, a pure exercise in the classical style, was constructed for the Russian emperor Paul and his wife Maria. Cozy and nice palace surrounded by serene and quiet parks. You will really enjoy this poetic and most classical place!

Six hours for you to double your pleasure to see two summer residences of the Imperial family in one day. First, you will see the superb baroque interiors and the famous amber room in the Catherine Palace in Pushkin. You will also enjoy a pleasant walk through the parks. This 5-hour tour is never exhausting. Meanwhile, it’s another grand tour taking five hours and combining an inside visit and a pleasant stroll around the parks abundant in unique fountains operating with no pumps and marvelous landscapes inspired by Versailles. Perfectly fitted into the park scenery are small lovely palaces and pavilions, i.e. Monplaisir, Catherine Block, Hermitage, Marli, etc. You are welcomed to visit one of them to get an idea about palace interiors of those days. The palace belonged to the Yusupovs (hence its name), one of the wealthiest Russian noble families, and today it is often called “Noble Nest”. The building witnessed the famous Russian drama. If you want to touch Russian traditions, to see Russian folk songs and dances, to get a feeling of the atmosphere of Russian festivities then you should see one of our folkshows to be treated as not just spectators but honored guests with vodka or champagne! The show usually lasts for about two hours and includes an intermission to take a breath and get refreshed with drinks and small bites.
